WHO IS FLORIANI?
Founded in 2021, Floriani began with four men willing to stake their lives on a simple proposition: sacred music can change lives.
In just a few years, Floriani has emerged as one of the leading voices in the revival of Catholic sacred music—recording with Hallow, performing before tens of thousands at the National Eucharistic Congress, appearing at major Catholic gatherings across the United States and abroad, and reaching millions through its recordings. What began as four friends leaving their jobs to pursue a mission has grown into an international apostolate of performance, recording, and formation.
Giorgio Navarini
Giorgio’s love for sacred music began in high school when his family began attending the traditional Latin mass. This love for the ancient beauty continued through high school even into college where began directing choirs. Having graduated from Thomas Aquinas College, he taught in classical education schools aiming to embody choral excellence in the holistic formation of the human person. Whenever he is not directing a schola, you might find him hiking the mountains of Montana or enveloped in the historical account of a sea voyageur.
Thomas Quackenbush
Growing up in Ojai, California, Thomas first discovered sacred music singing hymns with his family. Although his first love was Baseball, his passion for choral singing grew in high school, at Thomas Aquinas College, and as a high school science and music teacher (and Baseball coach!). Thomas now lives in Steubenville, Ohio, with his wife Rebecca and their five children—four girls and one boy. When he’s not on the road with Floriani, Thomas teaches chant at Franciscan University, helps Rebecca homeschool the kids, and is trying to learn how to fix up a 130 year old home.
Graham Crawley
Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Graham grew up with a love for singing and music, but wasn’t introduced to choral music until he was a freshman at Thomas Aquinas College. He was captivated by the profound spirituality of sacred music, and his love for it grew exponentially the more he immersed himself in the Roman liturgy. He is particularly fond of Gregorian chant, and has a special devotion to the Monastic Office. When he’s not singing, you’ll find Graham with his wife, Sarah, chasing his two sons around, reading, watching soccer, cooking, and biking.
Lee Rea
Born and raised in Ventura, California, Lee first encountered sacred music in high school, when choral polyphony struck him as an intimate encounter with Beauty unlike anything he had experienced before. His love for truth, goodness, and beauty deepened at Thomas Aquinas College, alongside a lifelong love of the outdoors and, especially, surfing.
Lee now lives in Ventura with his wife and their daughter. As a member of Floriani, he is passionate about restoring beautiful sacred music to the life of the Church and helping revitalize the Catholic culture from which it springs.
